Citizen of the Year Award
On March 5, 2011 at the Knoll County Club the Montville Chamber of Commerce honored UNICAN Sue Speciale as the “Citizen of the Year.” Sue graduated Bloomfield High School in 1977 Sue continued her education receiving a certificate as Medical Assistant and a License as an x-ray technician from Mountainside Hospital School. She is presently working with the MontvilleTownship Board of Education for the past eleven years. She is married to Tony for 26 years and was blessed with three lovely children, Anthony Jr. 24, Danielle Marie 22 and Deanna Lynne 18. Sue has always been service oriented to her family, community and friends. While her chidren were in elementary school, she served as President of the Parent Teacher Association for 4 years. She was a class mom every year and made it a point to attend every school function for her children. Sue was a Brownie Leader for 4 years and a Daisy leader for 1 of those years. Sue is a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Pine Brook Fire Department for over 20 years. She served as President for 4 years and during her term hosted 2 State Lunches. Sue was a Republican County Committee woman for Montville Township and served on the Disability Committee of Montville. She joined Montville UNICO in 2004. Sue chaired charitable goals, Golf outings and has served on many other committees. Sue was secretary and is currently serving her second year as the Vice President of the Secretary Association of Montville.
